How to Get to the San Juan Islands
Discovery Sea Kayaks is located in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. You can reach the island by air, tour boat and driving or walking on the ferry. Once on the island we provide transportation from the ferry landing in Friday Harbor and can pick you up when you arrive. We meet at our office located adjacent to the ferry landing terminal.
Getting Here By Ferry
Take the Washington State Ferry from the Anacortes terminal. You can drive or walk-on the ferry. To reach Anacortes (approximately 85 miles north of Seattle), take I5 to Exit 230. Go West on Highway 20 to Anacortes and follow the signs to the San Juan Islands Ferry. If you are driving on, plan to be there 1.5 to 2.5 hours prior to departure time. Weekend and holidays are the busiest so arrive early or leave your car in Anacortes and walk on. We will pick you up when you reach Friday Harbor.
