After finishing High School in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, Talbot completed a Semester in New Zealand with the National Outdoor Leadership School. A canoeist from a young age, New Zealand provided him the opportunity to learn sea kayaking in the beautiful waters around the Southern Island. His experience with NOLS was truly transformational; Talbot realized that nature and the outdoors would always be the primary focus of his life. After NOLS, Talbot attended the University of Montana, graduating with a degree in Recreational Tourism. While in Missoula Talbot spent nearly every spare moment perfecting his whitewater kayaking skills.
Talbot completed a semester in Wilderness Medicine in Costa Rica and the Swan Range wilderness in northern Montana. He has completed Search and Rescue training and is a nationally certified EMT and Swiftwater Rescue Technician.
Talbot is relatively new to the Pacific Northwest and is excited to increase his knowledge of its flora and fauna and to help others share in his love of the outdoors and his passion for paddling.
