Wind, Rain, Kayak Tours, and Whales

It is April and we are busy running tours.  Yeah the tours groups are really small but we are on the water most days of the week.  We have been lucky the past couple of days with the weather but a little rain is moving in this weekend.  The good thing is, as of now, there is not much wind in the forecast for the weekend.  So we plan on running tours for those who are not afraid of a little rain.  Plus we provide you with rain pants, jacket and dry bags.

Just a couple of days ago we were fortunate and had an encounter with a small group of killer whales.  The group was latter confirmed to be Transient killer whales.  On the west side of San Juan Island we most frequently see the Southern Resident killer whales.  So a view of the Transients is always pretty cool.

If you want to keep more up to date on whats going on with Discovery Sea Kayaks and what we are encountering on the water.  Join our Facebook page. We tend to have more recent updates on Facebook than we do our blog these days.  So join us and keep in the loop.
