Retired from guiding but still an active member of the Discovery team, Richard is one of the company’s founders. He takes great pride in Discovery’s reputation for excellence both on and off the water.
While he still calls Friday Harbor home, Richard travels extensively both internationally and regionally. He has a long background as a decorated sea kayaker, dive master, swim coach, and teacher. Having paddled in Florida, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Australia, and Indonesia, he still finds the San Juans the most beautiful to kayak.
