We had such an amazing time due to our guide Andrew. I brought a group of 6 exuberant teens which would've presented a challenge in patience to some guides I'm sure. Andrew had the patience of a Saint with them and everything went without a hitch. Most of the kids had never been in a kayak before but with Andrew's help learned quickly. These high end kayaks Discovery uses were very very stable so we never had to worry at all about flipping.

Discovery Sea Kayak is simply amazing, they provide an experience several steps above competing companies at the same cost. We saw other kayak tours in large groups with poor equipment and not so nice camping accommodations, and were very happy we did our homework and chose Discovery Sea Kayak.

Absolute best experience of my life. I would recommend the bioluminescent tour. Our guide, Kelly, went out of her way to make us comfortable and satisfied. Jason and Kelly were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They provided clean and high-quality equipment. We received very informative training before departing. They keep the groups small, thus making the tour more personable, safe, and efficient.

The tours were small (8 people max) and well run. We did the sunset kayak tour on the West side along Lyme Kiln Park. We saw whales! It was truly magical. But even if you don't get lucky and spot whales, you will probably see other wildlife (eagles, seals.) The sunset was one of the most spectacular I've ever experienced and our guide was very friendly. There are many whale watching options on the island and I feel like this is one of the best.

My best friend and I planned a short getaway to the San Juan islands. We happened to read about the bioluminescence tour, but there was only one spot remaining for the timeframe we had available. I called Discovery Seas and they agreed to squeeze in two additional 'mature women' (old ladies). We had a great time. Amelia and Rick were attentive and knowledgeable guides. The paddle time was just right, a decent workout, but not strenuous, and the bioluminescence looked like a million lighted champagne bubbles, or fireflys glowing in the water. It was a really interesting and memorable experience.
