Our doors are open
The 2018 season is here! We have been hard at work re-stocking inventory and gear and going through our new guide training program. Guided kayak tours are already underway, launching from the west side of San Juan Island. Paddlers on these trips have been experiencing stunning views of Lime Kiln State Park, the Olympic Mountains, and Vancouver Island. Guides have already reported sightings of a variety of wildlife including orca, harbor seals, sea lions, bald eagles, great blue herons, sea stars, and more!
Discovery Adventure Tours
We are also happy to announce that we have a new fleet of Kona bikes added to the Discovery Adventure Tours rental fleet. These bikes are included in our three rental categories: hybrid, road, and electric-assist.
The Kona Dew is an excellent all-around option for visitors looking to explore the island. Equipped with 24 gears, riders can comfortably tackle any hill in the San Juan Islands. The Kona Rove is a drop-bar style road bike. We have outfitted it with slightly wider tires than the average road bike which makes for an extra smooth ride even on the island’s rougher chip-sealed roads. With the addition of the Kona Dew-E we have expended our electric bike program. This bike combines the comfort of a hybrid with a high-quality Bosch power system to provide riders with the ultimate cycling experience!
